Google Cloud VMware Engine continues to evolve, offering greater flexibility and performance with a series of updates: new node types, expanded zone availability, and more licensing options.

### New ve2 Node Types for Enhanced Performance

New `ve2` node types are now available in `australia-southeast1`, `us-central1`, and `us-east4` regions, providing more options to tailor your environment to your specific needs:

* **HCI Node Types:**
    * `ve2-standard-96`
    * `ve2-mega-96`
    * `ve2-mega-128`
* **Storage-Only Node Types:**
    * `ve2-standard-so`
    * `ve2-mega-so`

These new nodes offer increased compute power, memory capacity, and storage performance, enabling you to run even the most demanding workloads with ease.

### Expanded Zone Availability for Greater Resilience

`ve2` nodes are now available in two additional zones:

* Sydney, Australia, APAC (`australia-southeast1-b`)
